PDP - PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Player Development Program (PDP) directly supports initiatives that strengthen player development and coaching standards across the program.

PDP funding is invested in:

  • Coach Education
Ongoing professional development to ensure coaches are trained, qualified, and aligned with best practices and national standards.

  • Curriculum Development
The design and continual refinement of age-appropriate, development-focused training frameworks.

  • Session Planning
Structured and progressive training sessions that support long-term athlete development.

  • Enhanced Training Environments
High-quality facilities, equipment, and learning environments that promote optimal player growth and performance.

All PDP initiatives are fully aligned with Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) model, ensuring a consistent, player-centered approach at every stage of development.

NEW PLAYER COMBO

While our competition will offer previously used jerseys to their players, Calgary Rockies decided to create an affordable uniform which every player can own – no playing in a jersey that has been previously worn 10+ times by other players.

New players to Calgary Rockies FC will have to purchase a one-time New Player Combo ($139 cost) which includes a Rockies BackPack, Ball, Hoodie, Training Top, Jersey, Shorts and Socks.

The New Player combo is mandatory – all players will need to wear the appropriate gear, no exceptions. do not allow for non-Rockies branded gear to be visible at training and games.

MULTI-SPORT ATHLETES

Rockies supports multi-sport athletes.  Multi-sport is defined as a player who participates in 4-5 events per week in another sport.  For those players, we are able to prorate fees.  Please contact the office at info@rockiessoccer.ca for further detail.

Please do understand that CMSA has a per player fee in place – this fee applies whether a player plays one game, attends one practice or plays all of them. Given this fixed cost, CRFC cannot offer discounts exceeding 30% of the registration price. CRFC may require the confirmations of the other sport in order to grant the discount.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

  • 1PAY is a full payment at registration and is $50 cheaper than its equivalent 5PAY.
  • 5PAY divides the full cost of the program registration over five payments. The PDP costs and 20% of the program fees are due at registration. The remaining balance will be split between 4 subsequent payments.  JumpStart and KidSport are considered 5PAY.

FINANCIAL AID POLICY

CALGARY ROCKIES FINANCIAL AID POLICY

Calgary Rockies is a club for all players. If your family requires financial support to register, please follow the policy below exactly.

  1. Register your child at KidSport Calgary BEFORE registering with Calgary Rockies.  Please ignore their note that “Children must be registered in the sport program you are applying for before submitting your application”.
  2. Record the file number that KidSport Calgary has associated with our registration.  You will need this file number in the PowerUp registration later on.
  3. Return to our portal: Calgary Rockies PowerUp Portal to register your child in our club.
  4. In the Basket, please ensure to check the option “Pay in full”.  KidSport does not pay in instalments.
  5. Once you get to the payment section (after the waiver), please insert the KidSport registration number in the required payment field.
  6. KidSport is considered 5PAY as we will not see their payment for weeks and months.
  7. Update us immediately via email at info@rockiessoccer.ca once you receive the confirmation of your grant.
  8. KidSport will direct deposit to us, we will send you a receipt once we receive payment.  If either of them told you that they will send us a cheque, there is a chance the registration procedure was not followed.
  9. Should you be declined, please contact us and we will work with you; we want all children to have a chance to play.

Please note: if you register your child and pay in full BEFORE completing your KidSport application, then we will NOT be able to apply financial support to the purchase.  Registering your child and paying in full in order to receive the 1PAY discount will exclude you from Financial Aid.

In the case that this funding should not be enough to cover the need, please contact our office at info@rockiessoccer.ca to see what Calgary Rockies can offer to assist.
